Our Bellyfit offerings just keep getting better! At Arts In Motion, our team is now teaching Bellyfit Original, Bellyfit WARRIOR and Bellyfit FLOW-the only location in Canada outside of Victoria, BC that features these new classes.

Welcome back to Term 2! Class schedule has resumed as usual. Please note the Monday Hip Hop time changes (Senior 4-5pm, Intermediate 5-6pm).
A Look Back...
Our new Production Class has had a great time so far! In September they performed at the new Full Circle Theatre in their Gala opening production. Dancers performed a Fossi number called Steam Heat and a Greek Goddess piece (we proudly demonstrated our diversity with these two numbers). We are currently working on two performances taking place this February and May. Students will be presenting cultural dances from Russia, Africa, Bollywood and many others. We are excited to have this new component in the school to bring a greater performance experience for our older students.
On a personal development note, I have had the great pleasure and honour to teach upgrading programs to the Ottawa School Board Dance Instructors. I had been invited to do a couple of workshops this fall and have been invited back in the new-year to attend multiple Ottawa schools to further work with teachers and students. In April I will be a guest instructor for the Ottawa School Board Dance Symposium and Showcase (this will the third time that I will be presenting at this particular event). This is again, a great opportunity and honour. Needless to say, it has been a busy fall with only more excitement and challenges still to come.
I would like to extend a tremendous thank you to our fabulous teacher’s assistants this year. Both Miss Alize and I are so very pleased with their eagerness, hard work and dedication to their classes. We are feeling very confident that the assistants of our school are effectively learning to deliver the class syllabuses that we set for them. Their progression has been remarkable and we appreciate the time and effort the girls put into preparing for classes. It shows!
Dress Code
Just a note to all students that as we are over the half way mark of Term One it is time that all dress code policies are respected and adhered to. If you have any question regarding the dress code please visit our website or call the school directly.

If you haven't registered yet, we encourage you now to register for the full year with payment in full OR with post dated cheques. This way you avoid the hassle of re-registering in January. Registering for the full year versus just one term is a huge advantage to your child’s development in dance. The first term is set up to improve and gain strength, flexibility, skills and technique. The second half of the year begins to artistically join these new found skills through choreography for the year end show. Students who participate in only one term per year run the risk of not developing and moving along with their age group.

Example: One class for the full year equals four equal payments of $95.00
Example: Two classes for the full year (with discnt.) equals four equal payments of $184.19
Example: Three classes for the full year (with discnt.) equals four equal payments of $267.81
Example: Four classes for the full year (with discnt.) equals four equal payments of $345.78

Intensive Classes: (1.5hr classes for Sr. A and B Jazz and Ballet) for the full year equals four equal payments of $141.25
